2 weeks agoThis location is great, the homes are super well equipped. I particularly loved the Sonos in all the rooms so I could hear my music everywhere. The service was impeccable and the chefs we had were absolutely incredible. The highlight of our trip!! Chef Morgan and Esther were just a huge hit. The kids loved the pools and beach in front. It’s too bad that the beach is very rocky because it’s hard to go for a swim. Otherwise the villa was wonderful. Only reason this review doesn’t get a 5 star is because the beds don’t have real comforters/duvets. It is a very thin sheet. And personally I like a fluffy duvet to go to sleep, makes it more of a luxurious experience.

a week agoWe just celebrated our honeymoon at the wonderful Grace Bay Club for the last 9 days and it was everything we dreamed it would be plus more! The of service we received was exceptional and it is clear that there is a genuine culture of kindness and love that is shared by all on site. Each encounter started with being called by name and by the end of our time in Turks, we felt like we belonged as members of their extended family. We were blessed with ANTONIO and RAMSEY as our personal concierges. As this was our first trip to the island, we relied heavily on their recommendations and guidance and they did an exceptional job showing us around the property and ensuring that we knew how to communicate with them (via WhatsApp). They were quick to respond to any needs we had and also arranged a very sweet surprise of chocolate covered strawberries and champagne with fresh flowers in our suite for us one afternoon to celebrate our honeymoon. They always had a smile and if they did not have an immediate answer for our questions-they were quick to investigate and get back to us. We will 100% ask for them when we return. We stayed in the adult building (Hotel building) which was perfect for couples and the adult pool and hot tub area is picturesque. The family pool has a swim up bar but we never even ventured to that area as the staff on the adult side kept us so well hydrated and comfortable we never wanted to change locations! We had a few gentlemen care for us including YVES, MOSES, and REGINALD (REGI). We looked forward to seeing them each day and their individual personalities were fun to learn. KEVIN assisted us with snorkel gear and took us out on the sail boats that are included with your stay at Grace Bay Club! They will teach you to sail on your own but with very little experience we felt better having KEVIN take us out and he was happy to oblige. He is so incredibly knowledgeable in terms of boating and the water and was able to share some island history with us while we sailed. GARTH and DRE are pillars of the community and rock the Just Tacos stand on the beach with fun music great drinks. It’s always a party and the food is LEGIT! It was really hard to pick a favorite dish as everything we ate was delicious but I think one of my favorite dishes while on the island may have been the tuna tostado. Don’t forget to grab one of GARTH’S famous fishhook drinks either! The Infinity restaurant and bar on site is incredible and we ate several meals there and loved each one. They have a little bit of everything so you can find what you like. Bartender MELODI’S attentiveness was above and beyond and she worked hard to make us comfy one evening during a crazy rainstorm when the restaurant was packed! Host SIBHU remembered my husband’s name and his drink of choice after interacting with him only once and if you love rum punch you have to have FREDDY make you one-they are the BEST and sure to make you feel warm and tingly. He was one of the first waitstaff we met upon arrival and we asked for him to make our rum punches for the rest of the trip. Breakfast in the grill was fantastic! I’m Not usually a breakfast water but the spread is absolutely beautiful with tons of options. We loved seeing hostesses EDDIANA, JESSIE, and ALISSA and BEATRICE (grill manager) was a joy and made morning breakfasts very personal. It was like being taken care of by your island Momma. I also can’t forget wait staff STANELY and JUNIE (and her hot sauce!!) You have to take a bottle or 2 home. We had a private beachside dinner one evening and were waited on by JOSEPH. I imagine waiting on a table while trudging through sand can be a challenge but he handled our dinner with grace and the table that was set was absolutely beautiful. I’m summary, we will return to Grace Bay club one day-hopefully that day will be soon! Missing everyone already. If you are considering booking a trip whether with family or a special someone…do it! You won’t regret it.

3 months agoGrace Bay Club is a beautiful resort. We stayed in the estate section of the hotel with a oversized room, private balcony with outdoor shower and huge bathroom. The hotel sent a car for us. Our driver provided some history about the island and tips on where to visit. This was our first vacation without the kids in a long time! We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by friendly staff, cold towels and drinks. We met our concierge, who gave us a tour of the property. Lots of pools and restaurant options. Everything is well maintained, comfortable and welcoming. The beach is simply unbelievable. The water is so clear and warm. The sand on the beach is like powder. Having traveled to many islands, this is the most beautiful beach we have seen. Plan to spend hours on the beach, with plenty of sunscreen. The sun is bright and reflects off the very white sand. Your stay includes breakfast and it is served buffet style. The options are plentiful and very delicious. It’s a great way to start the day. Lunch is available on the beach, at the pool or at restaurants. We ate the pool most days. Tacos and jerk chicken were delicious. They also have great salads!! The resort is very quiet and romantic. While they have live music at night, there’s no dancing or activity to speak of. It is very much a “do nothing” type of place, which we loved. Luxurious, low-key and quiet.

a month agoThis hotel is, without a doubt, the most disappointing lodging I've ever encountered. Despite its inexplicable 5-star rating and a decent location, it falls far short of any luxury standards. From the moment I set foot in this place, it was one problem after another, and the managers displayed a complete lack of apology or courtesy. There was a truly uncomfortable incident when a staff member walked in on me while I was changing, even after I repeatedly told them to hold on. To make matters worse, my attempts to organize activities with the concierge a week prior were met with unhelpful and non-responsive communication. On my second day, the on-duty manager called me, falsely claiming insufficient payment and demanding I go to the front desk, using rude and threatening language. As a solo female traveler, this was deeply unsettling. I had to involve security and even the police for my safety. Eventually, they admitted their mistake, leaving me shaken for no reason. To add insult to injury, today, housekeeping inexplicably altered my refrigerator's temperature, ruining $2000 worth of diabetes medication. Despite my repeated requests, they've stubbornly refused to let me speak with a general manager or provide me with an incident report number. The hotel's cleanliness is also far from satisfactory. The constant questioning of guests' legitimacy by pool attendants and staff outside the rooms is uncomfortable. I travel and vacation monthly, often staying in 5-star hotels without any issues, but this place is a far cry from that. It's more like a beachside motel with abysmal service. My advice is to steer clear. I wish I never left Como after my first week of vacation.

3 months agoWhat an outstanding place to go on vacation. Gorgeous beaches, blue water to the horizon and wonderful weather. The staff could not be better!!! Friendly, courteous and willing to serve. Nothing here is commercialized like many other islands. Overall a tremendous experience!!!
