Sailing / windsurfing academy suitable for whole family. We went as family of 4 with kids aged 10 & 7 in August & we are all beginners. We had sailing lessons on a hobby catamaran with the instructor and windsurfing lessons using separate boards. Great teaching and everyone progressed with encouragement. Very safety aware Safety boat and compliant with RYA standards. There are some extra parasols nearby for those family members who don’t want to go (extra £- safe) and recommend packing lunch / drinks in a cool bag. Free parking. All proceeds go to local community. Really recommend!

I cannot recommend Provo Sailing Academy enough. Alida was so delightful and accommodating, helping our group of four get our sailing groove on during our week on the island. She communicated with us throughout the week, helping us coordinate around our dive schedule and pick good wind days. Alida’s sailing expertise, relaxed demeanor, and the academy’s varied selection of sailboats make this a great spot for beginners or seasoned sailors. Breathtaking views and crystal clear, turquoise water were icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

As a novice sailor in need of refreshing my sailing knowledge and skills I decided to try Provo Sailing Academy while on vacation with my wife in the Turks. It’s said that if you can sail a dinghy you can sail anything. I wasn’t sure what to expect but wanted to jump in and get on the water. My experience exceeded my expectations. Alida is a wonderful instructor. Super professional, knowledgeable, easy going, kind, patient and super friendly. I will be sure to continue learning with her upon returning to TCI.If you are truly interested in getting out on the water to learn small boat sailing or just to shake off the rust and get excited for sailing season ahead in the North, do yourself a favour and enroll.Gracie Alida!

I came across the gem which is Provo Sailing Academy last year on our annual trip to Provo. We had a blast last year sailing a Hobe Wave as well as a laser for four days. This year myself, my girlfriend Mandy were joined by a couple of friends and had the pleasure of meeting Alida for four days of sailing Hobie Waves, a Hobie T2, as well as spending some time on one of the Zests. Alida was great as far as welcoming us and giving us all the assistance that we needed along with some much appreciated tips (we had four different sailors all with different levels of experience). I can not recommend Provo Sailing Academy high enough and cant wait to get back next year. Now if I can just figure out a way to get a Hobie 16 there........Thanks Alida! See you next year.
