Awesome time on the private swim with the horses ride. Picked us up from the hotel which was really nice and then had an incredible swim / ride. Were up to the horses’ bellies in the crystal clear water, even got to gallop on the beach which was so fun. Highly highly recommend- had an absolute blast.

Huge shout out to Unique Tours for an amazing morning doing a private ride with two other friends. Their horses are fat, shiney coats, trimmed feet and perfectly groomed. (I’ve ridden horse most of my life so I know what to look for). They have weight limits and that is a good thing. They have 35 horses which means they are able to rotate through and not overuse the animals. I rode Principle, he was wonderful and such a nice boy! We are staying at Castaway Villa and Oscar humored us to go close and have pictures taken by my hubby. Very special! The hour went way too fast in my opinion! Don’t sleep on this opportunity folks, great company with lovely, well cared for horses! If I could this 10 stars I would!

My wife and three kids did the sunset horseback ride. I am too tall and way too over the relatively low weight limit so I did something else. The wife and kids loved the horse riding experience at sunset. The pickup at the resort was on time. The horses were all waiting under shade trees when the ground transportation arrived. The horse ride lasted about an hour. The only minor problem of the whole experience, if any, is that a couple of the horses that my kids rode had dropped a few bowels during the ride. Everyone thought it was funny, and just tried to steer the trailing horses around the floating material. 😁

The ride started out as a beautiful experience but soon changed as I realized that the horse that I was riding kept biting the horse in front of him. At the end of ride, awaiting to get off, the horse began bumping his head fighting horse next to him, he bucked, stumbled and fell to ground, throwing me off. Thankfully, I was able to scramble away as he was falling again trying to get his footing in the sand. Body is sore, ankle hit at contact with horse and has some light pain.Majority of riders on the sunset ride on July 14th, observed their horse to be biting at oher horses as well with one horse reported to be aggressive and should be last in ride.Riding in water was awesome but horses were frisky.

My boyfriend and I went for the *sunset horseback riding tour*. The staff was very very kind, and horses seemed well cared for.We are both intermediate riders (I used to take English lessons jumping, but haven't ridden in 3 or so years, and my boyfriend has herd cattle with horses in the past). Most of our tour group (about 10 people) were beginners. The entire "tour" was wading in a straight line through the water, then wading back. The sunset was beautiful, but an hour of walking in a straight line was a bit monotonous...I wish we could have ridden a little on the beach or on a trail, just to change things up a little. Also, even though we were experienced riders, we were not allowed to trot at all. Just a slow slow walk through the water and then hop off as soon as we got back to the beach front area. That was pretty disappointing for $200/person, though I understand safety is always a concern.I read that Provo Ponies gives a lot of liberty with these tours, so I'd definitely book with them next time. This tour wasn't BAD, it was just not really worth the price. I'd peg this more at about $50 a tour. I'm a bit bummed I spent so much on this :/
