Sapodilla Bay is a 900 foot (275 meter) long sheltered beach located off the south coast of Providenciales near Chalk Sound. The water is shallow, calm, and clear, making it an ideal choice for families and visitors with small children.
This beach is a 10-mile (16-kilometer) drive from Grace Bay’s central tourism region and resorts. Luxury vacation villas line the beach and the surrounding coastal cliffs, private yachts anchor in the bay, and the nearby Chalk Sound area is stunning. The water temperature in the Turks and Caicos Islands is always warm, but the sheltered coasts of Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay have even warmer water due to localized heating by the sun. Of course, the world-famous Grace Bay Beach sees far more visitors; however, Sapodilla Bay can feel a little more crowded on busy days due to the location.

5 months agoThis beach is amazing, it was my boyfriend and I’s favourite place to go. It’s nice and secluded but also full of fun. We also saw 2 stingrays, a turtle and a crab!!

7 months agoWe stayed in the neighborhood accessing Sopadilla Beach. We were excited to be able to access the beach privately and enjoy the incredible warm, shallow water! We were not disappointed by the beach itself at all. The crystal clear water is like being in a spa. People just lay around, chatting and floating, soaking in the sunshine. Sounds idyllic… until… the umbrella area erupts into a nightclub with foul music and wafting marijuana. I love good music and don’t mind people enjoying their weed but at a public beach, with children present, the blaring, graphic cursing was enough to make us not return to this beach. We opted to drive up the peninsula a bit more to Taylor Bay Beach. Trust me, if a quiet, peaceful, tranquil experience is what you are looking for, stay away from Sopadilla Bay Beach unless you go super early in the morning or for the sunset!

9 months agoStayed at Sapodilla Bay Beach area in a Villa with my wife and children. Enjoyed private entrance to the beach and it's one of the top beautiful beaches we have seen and we have been to a lot of the Caribbean. Just such an enjoyable time. Rode jet skis. Shallow clear water you can truly enjoy and is breathtaking.

4 months agoWent on a Wednesday in July. Chill quiet vibe; Parking was easy, plenty of space on the beach still at 11am. For lunch and drinks choose Geo’s over Chalkie’s. Both accept credit cards but Geo’s much faster service.

11 months agoWe've spent a lot of time on Provo over multiple trips. Although most beaches on the island are beautiful, Sapodilla is not one we would spend time at.The beach is relatively small compared to other beaches, is fairly congested and somewhat noisy. There are multiple vendor stands, jet skis and lots of music playing. If you're into a more "lively" experience then this beach will satisfy that. However, if you want to relax in a serene setting, head somewhere else.
