Bird Rock Tail features scenic and peaceful wetlands and coasts. The landscape is a mix of low limestone bluffs, mangrove waterways, and tidal marine marshes. It’s a fascinating ecosystem, and it’s a great place to see many of the country’s unique saline-resistant plants.

Definitely a neat little hike that leads to a beautiful view of the ocean. At the time we went, there had been some rain, so a portion of the trail was flooded. We were able to walk by the side of the trail and get by. There is also a portion of the trail that requires you to walk across rocks sticking out of a stream - on our way in we were able to stay dry, but on the way out the water level had risen and our shoes got a little wet. Not a lot of cover either, so you'll be in the sun the majority of the time. Just be prepared with water and shoes!

My 16yo son and I hiked this trail on Turks and Caicos first week of August. We went to these coordinates and parked near the I Love TCI sign (21.8106447, -72.1392376). Believe the reviews - it was hot and we went through all the water we had brought. Bring a couple of extra bottles to leave in the car. We wanted something memorable and off the beaten trail - I think this suited us well! The trail was well marked by rocks and shells and the water crossing was short and fun. It was neat to see the fish in those interior tidal pools. The views at the end were refreshing and it was nice and windy providing a nice cool off! We loved seeing the old conch farm and the beautiful plants and birds along the way! We encountered no stray dogs and no bugs and no other people. Shorts and tennis shoes worked well. A sun hat and a camera would be welcome additions. Enjoy!

Worth the time for a little nature adventure. Water crossings and sharp rocks so choose your foot wear appropriately.

Great getaway from the beaches and towns. It's a rocky but well maintained trail that anyone can do. Wear real shoes and bring more water than you think you need. Easy to find - the Google pin is exactly at the trailhead, which has adequate parking for several cars. Most of the walk is very dull. Winding trail through eye level trees. Very very hot as breezes don't make it through the trees. But there are scattered cacti and flowers and such. The payoff is at the end. Nice rocky water, critters, breezes and views.

A fantastic hike that rewards you with amazing views! This hike is a nice change of pace from going to the beach every day. It is a well maintained out-and-back trail that finishes at the top of the island. It took us about 15 minutes to complete one direction at a rambling pace while taking in the scenery. Small kids (
