Wow! Really good food!
We came here after reading the reviews. Definitely a hidden gem!
It is an easy walk from Seven Stars, but be careful when crossing the street and roundabout. Kids enjoyed their food and adults loved it!
We ordered beef empenadas, chicken avocado arepas, shrimp tacos, a pork arepa, a Banksi Burger and a cheese quesadilla (for my picky eater).
I must say, the chicken avocado arepa was incredible. So incredible, my husband ordered a second one, after I gave him a bite of mine. Absolutely delicious! I've never had an empenada before, but the beef one was really good and the green sauce served with it was delicious!
Ambiance isn't the best-- you have to stand in tight quarters to order, but there is ample seating and there are many locals eating there, which means it's good!
Prices are fair--will definitely be back!
Food was delicious but we were definitely overcharged. It was empty when we got there and a few locals stopped in as we finished up. I'd go back for a quick bite but my biggest recommendation is to do your own math and make sure they aren't overcharging you. We got the chicken salad arepa ($11)... unimpressive...chicken/avocado arepa ($11)...was really good and flavorful! Plus 1 juice from the fridge (no price tag) and government tax (12%) came out to $35.Very small space inside but outdoor seating is available.
Good place to eat with the family, they serve quickly in less than 20 minutes, I recommend for those who want to eat with the family without a headache
Amazing South American food at a reasonable price! We ate here twice on a 12 day trip and this was hands down the best meals we had in TCI. We tried the chicken and avocado arepas, beef empanadas, chicken quesadillas and beef tacos. Everything was delicious! Huge chunks of fresh avocado in the arepas and the green sauce that comes on the side was amazing. They need to bottle it and sell it asap! But it was the beef empanadas that stole the show for us. The BEST empanadas I have ever had. Beyond tasty, perfectly fried on the outside and the beef with onions and peppers on the inside were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I just wish I could take a giant box of them home with me!They have a couple of tables on the inside and a good amount of outdoor seating on their patio. No mandatory gratuity but tip the nice people anyway.Banksi is a hidden gem in the core Grace Bay area and is a MUST try when visiting TCI!
Absolutely LOVED this place. It was such a pleasant surprise and glad we found it.
It is off the main street but worth trekking it down as it was just a 10mnt walk from the Seven Stars hotel (down that side street).
Please support this delicious venue! You will not be disappointed!
Try their chicken and avocado arepa or their burger combo...DELISH!!
